Changelog
What has changed, including the things that were wrong. A site that only lists its improvements is not telling you much.
- Rebuilt the no-vowels lists by hand. They had been filtered out of a 344,076-word dictionary, which put 143 abbreviations, two obscenities and an ethnic slur on a page used in classrooms, and named RHYTHM as its example while RHYTHM was absent.
- Added a blocklist that fails the build if a blocked word reaches any page, and applied it to the category lists and the solver's dictionary.
- Rewrote 50 clues that only made sense beside another row, gave away a second answer from the same list, or were factually wrong. OHIO was described as having three vowels; it has two.
- Took the 24 play-a-category pages out of the index. They repeated the word-list pages' introductions verbatim.
- Took the seven by-length pages out of the index and trimmed the easy list from 901 words to the 150 easiest.
- Replaced the four templated questions that appeared on all 24 list pages with questions written for each category.
- Published ten guides.
- Moved every number the site states about itself into one computed module. The About page had said sixteen categories since launch; there are twenty-four.
- Removed the empty 'Advertisement' placeholders and the duplicated ads.txt line.
- Site launched.
